About This Job


Take orders, retrieve and serve alcoholic, non-alcoholic beverages and meals to residents and their guests, courteously and efficiently according to the property and company standards, and ensures the maintenance and upkeep of pool & beach area.


  • Assist residents courteously and efficiently according to company and property standards
  • Ensures that work station is clean at all the times.
  • Keep chairs and tables clean and clear of debris.
  • Takes  food and beverage orders
  • Extensive knowledge of food and beverage in order to service and up sell our product, including liquors and cocktails.
  • Set up side station.
  • Ensure that all tables and eating areas are wiped and spotless.
  • Mark tickets appropriately to food orders
  • Enter all sales in POS system without errors. Double check list of items before "sending".
  • Make sure that all product served are accounted for on the final bill before presenting it.
  • Ensure that food is delivered in a timely manner.
  • Verify resident satisfaction with each table.
  • Anticipate resident needs.
  • Attend all food and beverage training classes and departmental meetings.
  • Wish each and every resident and their guests a warm farewell and thank them for coming.
  • At the end of the shift deliver all checks and report to the appropriate place according to rules.
  • Adhere to all the opening and closing duties.
  • Adhere to all cash handling policies.
  • Attend daily pre shift/communication meeting
  • Make sure all pool and beach furniture is neatly arranged and cleaned as well.
  • Bring all necessary towels out to the pool area and place them neatly on the towel table with ends facing the bar and colors coordinated.  Towels are to be placed neatly on the towel stand.  .
  • Check all trash bins and empty towel bins. 
  • Open all umbrellas, clean table tops, and wipe off all chairs.
  • Any other duties assigned by Supervisor.  Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.  The employee is expected to work in other areas of the property when needed to assist operations to perform job duties not necessarily contained in this job description.

  • High School diploma or general education degree.
  • At least 1 year of experience with a pool & beach operation.
  • Previous food service experience helpful.



  • Physical demands
    • While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk and hear.

Ability to lift at least 80 pounds.

  • Communication
    • Ability to communicate, both verbally and written, effectively with guests, vendors and co-workers
    • Must read, write and speak the English language fluently.
    • Able to use computerized POS system.
