POSITION OVERVIEW:

Live! Hotels is seeking a dynamic hands-on, passionate, results-driven General Manager with regional experience to manage the operations, marketing and revenue production at our Four-Diamond rated Live! Hotel flagship property.  The company has embarked on a high growth plan to continue to open Live! Hotel-branded properties in iconic destinations across the country, with the second Live! Hotel to open in 2020 at Live! Casino in the Stadium District of Philadelphia.  An essential function of this Regional Hotel General Manager position will be to provide regional operations support and leadership to current future Live! Hotels, both pre and post-opening, in order to ensure continued success and growth of the brand. 

Specifically, the Regional Hotel General Manager is responsible for day-to-day hotel operations, sales & marketing, revenue production, providing impactful leadership and support to the team, quality assurance, driving exceptional guest service standards, superior guest satisfaction, ongoing enhancement of service and quality improvements at the hotel, team member development and engagement, fiscal responsibility, a strong working knowledge of financial statements and internal controls.  

An integral component of this position will be to develop effective revenue strategies based upon a thorough understanding of the markets, various distribution channels, collaboration on revenue management, driving occupancy and rate while increasing market share and the overall profitability for the hotel.  

Responsibilities and Duties Include but Not Limited to the Following:
  • Direct day-to-day hotel operations including Front Office (Front Desk and Bell/Door Services), VIP Services, Valet, Valet, Housekeeping, Retail Shop, Spa, Performance/Special Events Venue, Hotel Sales and Marketing, Revenue Management, Finance and Maintenance.
  • Directs and leads the preparation of short and long-term hotel business plans and budgets meeting company goals and growth objectives.
  • Collaborates in creating, directing and executing hotel sales and marketing, revenue optimization, distribution strategies and initiatives to yield desired financial results.
  • Develop a strong knowledge of local market (demand generators, competitor strategy and community impact/involvement opportunities).
  • Participate in recruiting, hiring and the ongoing evaluation of team members.
  • Ensure that team members receive effective and impactful ongoing standards of service and skills training to consistently deliver four-star rated level of service to guests.
  • Create and maintain a professional, respectful and engaging work environment for hotel team members that fosters a Fun, Friendly, and Comfortable experience.
  • Drive ongoing team member engagement/recognition initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain open collaborative relationships with direct reports, team members, and all property divisions (Sales and Marketing, Food and Beverage, Finance and Facilities).
  • Tour and inspect hotel on a daily basis and monitor property cleanliness, product quality and ensure achievement of service standards.
  • Liaises with the Finance Division to ensure strict adherence regarding company policies and controls.
  • Adherence to Live! Hotel standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of Hotel General Manager experience in full-service and/or lifestyle properties
  • Previous full-service Regional Hotel experience desirable
  • Prior General Manager experience in a 4 or 5 star/diamond rated hotel
  • Branded and non-branded experience a plus
  • Possess superior communication skills
  • Demonstrated passion for hospitality and service
  • Attention to detail and highly organized
  • Self-motivated and results-driven
  • Creative problem-solver and multi-tasker
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license as determined by the Maryland State Lottery and Gaming Commission, and potentially the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board
