About This Job

The Sales Manager is responsible for soliciting, negotiating, and booking new business, while maintaining and growing the current client base at the hotel through various sales techniques.

Position Responsibilities

  • Achieve Account and Revenue goals as established by the Director of Sales
  • Identify prospective New Accounts for the Red Roof Inn
  • Make sales calls on prospective new accounts located within the assigned market
  • Prepare and present sales proposals to prospective customers in the assigned market
  • Track and enter all sales activities into customer database
  • Communicate sales activities and results to Sales and Operations Management
  • Complete weekly and quarterly reports and other projects as assigned by the due dates given
  • Close Deals and Secure business
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
  • Minimum of 2 years hotel sales experience
  • Previous experience in a convention center or downtown hotel or similar capacity is preferred
  • Must be able to establish a client base in a defined geographic area and or market segment (i.e. economy) through proactive direct outside sales efforts for the purpose of securing business for the hotel
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills required
  • Proficient skills in MS Office Suite and PMS systems

Compensation: 65,000
