The Front Desk Agent will also perform billing and cashiering tasks; and graciously handle any guest request in accordance with Hotel Granduca service standards and procedures.To accomplish this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform, with or without reasonable accommodations, each essential job function. Accurately check guests in and out of the hotel in a cordial and timely mannerHandle billing and transactions on guest’s folio, obtaining accurate method of payment for reservationsExplain hotel features and services and answer questions in a confident and cordial mannerResolve guest complaints in a positive and timely manner to ensure maximum customer satisfactionAnticipate guest needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guestsPerform duties to meet or exceed LHW standardsMaintain visibility and demonstrate genuine passion and readiness to respond to guests' needs promptly and efficientlyMaintain updated knowledge of hotel amenities and services, hours of operations, rates and special offers & promotions Answer telephone within 3 rings, direct calls and process IRD orders in a timely mannerMaintain knowledge and understanding of current menu items in IRD and F&B OutletsDemonstrate a sense of urgency and willingness to assist guests at all timesMaintain knowledge of all points of interest in the local and surrounding areasKeep assigned bank secure at all times and ensure accuracy of all monetary transactions, while adhering to the Cash Handling PolicyAnswer department telephone within 3 rings, using proper telephone etiquette and languageCommunicate pertinent guest information to appropriate departmentsAssist team members to ensure a positive and memorable experience for guestsAssist with Concierge and Valet services and delivery of Lost & Found and guest packagesAssist with Night Audit coverage if necessaryWork closely with Housekeeping and other departments to maintain knowledge of rooms readinessMaintain guest and client confidentiality Adhere to the department SOP's and hotel and handbook policiesMaintain proper body language, tone and cordial demeanor towards internal and external guestsAdhere to the Standards of Appearance and practice the 3 Steps of Service and Hotel Core ValuesMaintain a clean and organized work area with adequate inventory of suppliesMaintain a professional and neat appearance according to Hotel Granduca guidelinesPerform other duties as assigned

High school Diploma or equivalentMinimum 1 year related experience in a full service or luxury hotelPrior night audit experience an assetExcellent telephone and email etiquette and interpersonal skillsExcellent command of English, communication skills, verbal and written and ability to follow instructionsBilingual - English/Spanish preferredBasic mathematical skills Excellent listening skills, time management skills, and attention to detail Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office softwareMust demonstrate a pleasant, cordial and professional demeanor at all times towards guests, coworkers and managementAvailable to work assigned shifts including AM, PM, weekends and holidays, based on business demandsHotel Granduca is an equal opportunity employer. Located on Loop 360, just north of Bee Caves Road, the hotel is purposefully located a few minutes from downtown to offer quiet sophistication and elegance, in the magnificent, highly visible and accessible Westlake area.
Offering 194 luxurious rooms and suites, Granduca Austin will offer accomodations from 500 square feet all the way to 1400-square-feet. All rooms will feature complimentary wireless Internet as well as flat screen LED HDTVs. Just as Granduca Houston, the hotel will feature Tuscan-inspired décor with original Italian art and fine linens.
