Einstein’s Shift Supervisors, along with the Moffat Market Manager are responsible for overall execution of the Einstein’s Bros. Bagels Cafe within the Moffat Market.  Shift Supervisors are responsible to: provide a strong management presence, ensure the team offers guests a hospitable and enjoyable atmosphere, serve food and beverage products efficiently. All of this is to be compliant to Einstein Noah Restaurant Group Inc. (ENRGI) and Winter Park Resort standards of excellence for quality, sanitation and consistency. 


  • Bring energy and an upbeat attitude to work each day.  Actively create and maintain a fun and energetic culture with high employee morale.  Motivate and instruct others to achieve restaurant goals.
  • Connect with the guest by being friendly and approachable.  Understand and communicate the importance of meeting each guest’s expectations.  Address problems and prevent guest issues from becoming worse.
  • Consistently adhere to company policies and procedures.  Maintain quality standards and follow established guidelines.
  • Clearly communicate guidelines, standards and tasks to team members and monitor day-to-day operations to ensure adherence to policy and procedures.
  • Remain calm under pressure and set a good example to team members.  Adapt easily to new situations and keep a positive attitude.
  • Show initiative and take ownership for completing tasks. 
  • Understand all facets of the Einstein’s station positions and are able to perform all duties as needed.
  • Adhere to standards and model appropriate behavior, including, but not limited to, reporting to work on time and in full uniform.
  • Follow operational standards, including, but not limited to, product, catering & merchandising guidelines, portioning, rotation, presentation & temperature.
  • Responsible for assisting the Moffat Market Manager to carry out a cost-effective & quality operation.
  • Clearly communicate performance expectations to team members, supervising work and ensuring each employee is fully productive.
  • Ensure expectations are understood and set a good example for the team.   
  • Execute training of staff and following up as appropriate.
  • Opens and closes the business with little to no supervision, ensures all equipment is cleaned and reset for the next shift, products and supplies are restocked and staff is scheduled. 
  • Place product orders, receive, put away, stock products and supplies and rotate supplies for freshness. 
  • Maintain and clean all areas of the restaurant, including but not limited to, restaurant equipment, kitchen, bathrooms, lobby area and building exterior.
  • Assists Moffat Market Manager to lock up the establishment, checking that all equipment is off, lights are off.
  • Responsible for inventory: counting items, entering data, running reports, and investigating variances.
  • Responsible to keep records on Einstein’s employees, daily upkeep of Ultipro and attendance reports.
  • If able, may be responsible for driving on company business: taking bank deposits, purchasing supplies, or delivering catering orders.
  • In conjunction with the Moffat Market Manager may interview and select staff to hire

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to work outside in the winter and summer under varying conditions.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of _50____ lbs. with assistance.
  • Must have dexterity to operate computer daily.
  • Must have auditory and visual acuity to operate computers and phones.
  • Must be able to successfully manage multiple, high priority tasks.
  • The work area includes: food, ovens, mixers, food processors, knives, slippery floors, and, at time, high temperatures.
  • It is a hands-on, non-smoking, restaurant setting involving constant interaction with customers, employees, managers and vendors.
  • The ability to effectively communicate, identify food quality, tolerate heat and walk-in freezers, lift and/or maneuver up to 50 pounds, and stand/walk on hard surfaces during the course of the work day.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts; extreme cold (non-weather) and extreme heat (non-weather). The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, talk and hear.
  • The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
  • The employee is frequently required to taste and/or smell. The employee is required to sit; grip and grasp with hands, reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and bend at the waist. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus.


  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic computer functionality required
  • 6+ months supervisory experience required, preferably in the restaurant/hospitality industry
  • Valid Colorado Driver’s License ad clean motor vehicle record desirable
  • Exposure to store budgets and cost controls preferred
  • Ability to read, write, count and speak/comprehend English
  • Ability to follow recipes and standards according to ENRGI guidelines
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
  • Exposure to OSHA and Health Department requirements preferred
  • Food Serve Safe Certificate preferred
