Provide administrative support in the areas of benefits and HRIS by assisting with all benefit programs and the technological aspects of recordkeeping, database management, and monitoring employees while maintaining the security of human resources information for a hotel management company operating in over 20 states employing 6,000 associates.

Essential Job Functions

  • Provide administrative support for benefit programs such as health, dental, life insurance, supplemental benefits, short- and long-term disability, 401(k) and other programs that support the well being of our associates.
  • Maximize system capabilities to reduce the administrative burden of recording keeping and human recourses processes for 3 corporate offices and approximately 120 hotel properties.
  • Troubleshoot and analyze technical issues and work with external system support to resolve them.
  • Maintain data integrity through programming and system security measures.
  • Administer back end associate onboarding processes for individual new joiner and/or group of new joiners resulting from new hotel acquisitions.
  • Program multiple health, dental, vision, PTO, and other benefit programs as directed.
  • Build and distribute reports as requested both scheduled and ad-hoc.
  • Work with vendors to stay abreast of system capabilities, resolve system issues and to push for modifications to support the business.
  • Understand and comply with established departmental processes and procedures designed to support internal controls efforts and bring deficiencies to the attention of the HR department leader.
  • Conduct webinars on a variety of benefits and HRIS topics for end users.
  • Continually analyze new features to recommend process improvement initiatives including data analysis and functional support.
  • Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program.
  • Practice safe work habits.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or information technology-related field preferred.
  • Two or three years previous HRIS and benefits experience required – UltiPro and ICIMS a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of payroll a plus.
  • Proficiency in Excel required.
  • Work independently as well as in a group when improving, programming or establishing new programs and processes.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Work Environment and Context

  • Requires sitting for extended periods, use of hands and fingers to operate computers and keyboards.
