Career Opportunity (F/T - P/T):  

The Restaurant Supervisor at Sawmill Market will:

  • Ensure restaurant operations run smoothly.
  • Support a culture of service within the team, creating an unforgettable dining experience for guests.  
  • Use essential hospitality and customer service standards to inspire and celebrate guests:  eye contact, smile, speak first, and engage in polite conversation (if time permits).

Supervisory Responsibilities:  Host, Server, Bartender, Busser

Qualifications:

  • Two years of college, hospitality preferred; or equivalent education/experience.
  • 1 year of hospitality hospitality/restaurant experience with focus on restaurant operations, 6 months to 1 year supervisory experience – or – equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • New Mexico Food Handler Certification, ServSafe Manager Certification and Alcohol Server Certification.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a proper flow of service and staffing levels during shift.
  • Oversee activities of restaurant staff and expedite customer orders as needed, per company standards and policies.
  • Maintain good working relationships with suppliers and identify opportunities to decrease operational costs.
  • Support the Director of Operations in recruitment, training, assigning work, appraising performance, and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Uphold company food safety, food handling, and sanitation requirements to ensure the health and safety of our guests and employees.
  • Write and post schedules for all FOH team members in a timely fashion.
  • Work with the back of house team in your venue to ensure that all guest requests are met.
  • Maintain strong focus on the guest experience and base all of your decision making around making our guests happy, especially when resolving complaints.

  • Position & People Passion:   Passion for the service industry.  Desire to make people happy, both guests and co-workers.   Team player who is willing to come in early, stay late, and jump in wherever and whenever needed
  • Personalized Service:  Resolves issues with guest and coworker satisfaction in mind; multi-tasks with ease; strong interpersonal skills including keeping emotions under control; open to others’ ideas.
  • Communication Skills:  Well-spoken, personable, outgoing, listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions; great communicator.
  • Office Sensibility:  Ability to manage records, accomplish tasks as directed; cash handling skills. 
  • Technology:  Tech savvy with computers and software - word processing, PMS, point of sale.
  • Image:  Ability to maintain professional image standards, including any uniform requirements.
  • Scheduling:  Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, late evenings, and overtime.
