About This Job


The Banquet House Attendant is the main support to the Banquet Team Members and helps them to reach common goals and guests satisfaction. As a Banquet House Attendant, you will set up, break down, and service all meeting rooms, event space and banquet public areas according to Company Standards.

What you will be doing

  • Maintain established cleaning schedules of meeting rooms, back of house and front of house spaces.
  • Set up and break down event space, ensuring set up according to Banquet Event Order.
  • Vacuuming floors, cleaning walls, windows and mirrors in event space and surrounding public areas.
  • Ensure supplies are available according to the Banquet Event Order and equipment is set up and functioning properly.
  • Cleaning up the event spaces by clearing away dishes, straightening furnishings, and refreshing linen throughout the event.
  • Keep track of event supplies, equipment and carefully store furnishings when not in use, promptly reporting repair and maintenance needs.
  • Keep the quality of foods on the buffet at a level consistent with the business flow of the banquets.
  • Uses props in a creative, yet suitable manner in order to make the buffet visually appealing.
  • Monitor quality of food and inform the banquet chef of any discrepancies.
  • Prepares buffet layout with the direction of the banquet manager and chef. Assist in setting up and decorating special buffets.
  • Inform kitchen line cooks of what food is needed on the buffet prior to food running out.

The ideal candidate for this position

  • Ability to read and understand the English language
  • Must be able to safely move and set up banquet tables, chairs and equipment
  • Ability to lift and carry tables, chairs, equipment and food service trays weighting 35+ pounds
  • Ability to stand during entire shift
  • Ability to work flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays
  • Ability to multi-task, and handle stressful situation in a calm and professional manner
