POSITION SUMMARY

The Renovations Project Manager will manage the project work flow of renovations from intake to site verifications for all Classic Select Brands with particular focus on the Courtyard Exterior Reimaging initiative.  This manager will interface daily with Marriott Owners and Franchisees, Brand, Owner & Franchise Services, Product Integrity, Contract Administration, and Renovation Compliance teams tracking, communicating, educating, documenting, and field verifications of renovations projects.

EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS

  • Act as first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders needing renovation program or project information and next steps.
  • Establishes relationship with owners/owner reps/franchisees to determine and confirm renovation schedule, consultant hires, and dates for estimated and actual construction starts/ completions/ and estimated verification site visit. 
  • Coordinates with renovation team and MI internal stakeholders (Product Integrity, Renovation Compliance, & OF&S) to track, record, and report project data and dates, site verifications. 
  • Working with Renovations Director, Reno Compliance, and Product Integrity, manages verification pipeline schedule and assignments, PIP assignments, site visits, and project workflow for the CSB Renovations Studio.
  • Schedules, launches and maintains content for brand Owner Forums and immersion meetings (local and remote)
  • Working with Renovation Director and Global Design Strategies, maintain accurate renovation PIP templates and renovation cycle requirements.
  • Develops evaluation methods to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensures goals are met in areas including customer satisfaction, safety, quality and team member performance.
  • Implements and manages changes and interventions to ensure renovation goals are achieved.
  • Meets with stakeholders to make communication easy and transparent regarding project issues and decisions on services.
  • Produces accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its life cycle.
  • Assist directors in delivering renovation projects on schedule, within budget and aligning to the design standards required by the brand.
  • Assist in the development of qualified consultants supporting the renovation efforts.
  • Communicates project related issues and resolutions within the Classic Studio
  • Ensure accurate and complete documentation of project waivers
  • Share best practices and lessons learned to promote continuous product and process improvement.
  • Performs all other duties as business demands

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Proven experience in program/project management
  • Ability to build strong working relationships
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of business practices
  • Knowledgeable about hospitality and construction innovation & trends
  • Strong organization and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, engineering and mechanical drawings
  • Proficient in Microsoft office applications, project & database management software
  • SalesForce experience is preferred

Education/Experience:

  • 4-year degree (Construction Project Management, Project Management, Contract Administration) or equivalent experience/training.
  • Minimum 4 years progressive experience in the hospitality industry
  • Experience in renovation, construction and/or lodging design processes
  • Experience in managing the development of scopes of work, estimates of cost, procurement of materials, installations of services, financial and scheduling management associated with renovation and/or conversion of multiple lodging properties and owner relations
  • Understanding of architecture, estimating, interior design, product specification, procurement, construction management and accounting is helpful.

Travel:

  • Up to 50% travel within the U.S. and Canada.
