Live Loft Food and Beverage Team


Cooks and prepares the food in our Poker Room and other food venues on an ad hoc basis. Assures that the team members and guests have a favorable dining experience.


CLEAN – Responsible for ensuring overall cleanliness of the Poker Room front and back of house, and maintaining a clean and crisp staff at all times.

SAFE – Provide a safe and comfortable work and dining environment for team members.  Work areas should be hazard free.

FAST - Responsible for implementing systems to ensure established service time goals are met consistently, efficiently and accurately.

FRIENDLY – Consistently demonstrate a friendly welcoming and polite demeanor in interactions with both external and internal guests, as well as the team you lead. Always anticipating and paying attention to our guest’s needs and concerns using empathy and demonstrating HEART steps when necessary.  Hear, Empathize, Apologize, Resolve and Thank.

FUN –Work passionately as a team to create a fun environment to work in. Maintaining an upbeat and positive atmosphere for internal and external guests  


  • Responsible for preparation of all the Poker Room items and maintains the temperature of the items.
  • Responsible for seasoning and garnishing all the Poker Room food.
  • Responsible for preparing all soups and sauces served in the Poker Room.
  • Responsible for keeping the Poker Room and cooking area clean and in an orderly state.
  • Maintaining inventory and ordering the Poker Room items on a daily basis.
  • Ensure the safety and security of employees and guests.
  • Monitor and adjust performance to local completion as warranted.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements:


  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Culinary arts courses or the equivalent experience.
  • One (1) – three (3) years’ experience as a line of restaurant cook.


  • Ability to use all kitchen equipment and appliances.
  • Ability to read and write basic instructions. Knowledge of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). Ability to be creative with cooking and food preparation.
  • Ability to Read and interpret production lists, menus, and Banquet event orders
  • Ability to complete accurate record keeping
  • Knowledge of sanitation and health department regulations for safe handling of food.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk continually throughout a scheduled shift
  • Ability to bend, stoop and reach while carrying food product, equipment, trash/waste weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to lift, carry, deliver food items weighing up to 50 pounds throughout a scheduled shift
  • Ability to work around 500 degree ovens and work within 40 degree walk-in refrigerators
  • Ability to stand and walk continually throughout a 10 hr. shift

Additional Information

Applicants must already be authorized to work in the US and must be able to obtain and maintain a casino license in the state of Maryland.
