Position Purpose:  The Corporate Director of Human Resources is responsible for determining needs and providing leadership in developing, directing, and overseeing the human resources operation in support of the mission and overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization, specifically in the areas of risk and compliance, change management, organizational and performance management, and compensation and benefits.  Work with the Corporate Director of HR Strategy and Corporate Director of Talent & Development to ensure the long-term success of both HR and the Company as a whole.  Partner with General Managers to provide leadership to the property HR teams, and the corporate office.

Supervisory Responsibilities:  Human Resources Managers and Directors

Essential Duties and Functions/Responsibilities/Tasks:

  • Develop and support business-driven human resources practices and policies that align with the Company’s culture, business goals, and growth strategy
  • Support the development of professional HR operations, systems, programs, and initiatives; including Compensation and Benefits
  • Partner with the leadership team on all business issues and major corporate initiatives
  • Facilitate and provide guidance to management teams in HR matters
  • Direct staff on HR functions
  • Develop, interpret, and implement policies and procedures according to federal and state laws and regulations
  • Avoid litigation and other potential losses by overseeing participation in EEO, ADA, FMLA, and other federal and state regulations
  • Responsible for investigation, monitoring, and resolving complex employee situations from origin to conclusion while minimizing organizational risk
  • Assume responsibility of labor and employee relations
  • Direct HR activities and functions for the Corporate staff including benefits administration, workers compensations, safety and salary administration, disciplinary actions, terminations, counseling employees, and providing guidance and support to supervisors, coworkers, and employees.
  • Other duties assigned or projects requested


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Eight years’ experience in Human Resources required, hospitality focus preferred.
  • Knowledge of local and national labor law.
  • Previous management experience required.
