The Banquet Manager is responsible for the overall success of all events for La Playa Carmel and Hotel Carmel, including Brophy’s restaurant, staffing and support of operation and F&B initiatives.The Banquet Manager is responsible for handling all aspects of food and beverage functions including preplanning, supervision of staff during set-up, service and breakdown and administrative duties.
Specific duties include:
Plan daily and weekly banquet functions.
Coordinate interaction with other departments and clients.
Supervise staff to include set-up and breakdown according to Banquet Event Orders (BEO).
Administer duties to include banquet check preparation, disciplinary documentation, functions review sheets and labor forecasts.
Coordinate successful timing of events according to the guest needs and overall La Playa standards.
Train new team members.
