About This Job

FUNCTION:

Assists in the effective and efficient management and delivery of all Food & Beverage Operations, with the aim that they provide the highest level of customer service, are cost effective, and meet budgeted targets.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensures complete guest satisfaction.
  • Wears and maintains appropriate business attire.
  • Achieves financial goals.
  • Promotes a customer focused culture by example and by encouraging in house training by all team members.
  • Makes procedural recommendations and maintains standards of food and beverage quality and guest services as established by the Director of Food and Beverage.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of menu, wine list, drink prices, general policies and banquet contract.
  • Maintains change bank at exact amounts; documents weekly bank counts, and banks all cash bars.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and coordinate special arrangements and requests in food and beverage outlets.
  • Perform line employees job functions as needed under high volume and emergency situations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Food and Beverage.
  • Investigates guest complaints as relates to Food and Beverage.
  • Participates on the hotel Safety Committee.
  • Ensures that Quality Standards and Service are maintained for Property, Product, and People.
  • May assist in outside Catering Event Sales calls as part of the hotel sales effort.
  • Participates and steers the hotel Safety Committee.
  • Ensures that Quality Standards and Service are maintained for Property, Product, and People
  • Communicates daily with other management and employees to ensure quality and proper operating procedures are in compliance.
  • Must be able to work all shifts.
  • Enforces established policies and procedures for WinStar World Casino Hotel.
  • Supports hotel’s training needs and efforts.
  • Monitors Guest Service Scores on product improvement.
  • Practices the WinStar World Hotel Culture and ensures all cultural expectations are implemented and regularly practiced.
  • Supports hotel’s training needs and efforts.
  • Responsible for performing “other duties” as assigned by management.

 

TECHNICAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

·         1-3 years previous Food and Beverage management experience with a restaurant organization or a similar size hotel with brand knowledge.

·         Must have 2-3 years previous supervisory experience.

·         Must have thorough knowledge of all food and beverage operating departments.

·         Must have Food Handlers Certification.

·         Must have thorough knowledge of all operating departments including rooms, front office, housekeeping, engineering, accounting, sales, food and beverage.

·         Must have knowledge of food and beverage industry, current market trends and federal, state and local laws pertaining to the hospitality industry such as OSHA, TIPS training, Food Sanitation and Safety regulations.

·         Must have exceptionally high sanitation standards.

·         Knowledge of Federal & State laws pertaining to Health Codes.

·         Strong employee relations experience.

·         Must speak, read and write English.

·         Excellent written & verbal communication.

·         Strong analytical, problem solving & organizational skills.

·         Ability to multitask in fast paced demanding environment.

·         Microsoft Office skills required.
