About This Job


The Staffing and Recruitment Manager is responsible for managing the operation of staffing/employment practices and team member relations programs and processes. The Manager is hands on and must be able to and perform all the duties and responsibilities of the position.

Specific Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assures that all standardized hiring practices are followed in accordance with Federal Department of Wage and Labor for equal opportunity employment.
  • Supervise the Recruiters with the timely closing of open employment requisitions and follow up with on boarding program.
  • Responsible for the overall function of the Team Member Relations and Recognition Committee and all special events to include budget guidelines and selection of members.
  • Assists with HR strategic planning, review, and management of department metrics and data.
  • Manage an effective process for team member communication.
  • Administer participation of all government programs for tax saving credits and reimbursement. Work with local agencies to access any wage return benefit.
  • Review Human Resources activities with the VP of Human Resources.
  • Meet with departmental directors and managers as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements

  • Ability to analyze and interpret departmental needs and results.
  • Ability to solve complex problems.
  • Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressures and in an interruptive environment.
  • Knowledge of Alcohol Beverage Control laws, Maryland State gaming and licensing regulations and applicable Health Department regulations.
  • Knowledge of labor laws, EEOC/title seven, insurance, and unemployment compensation laws.
  • Broad variety of tasks and deadlines requires and irregular work schedule.

Educational Requirements

  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience as a Recruitment/Talent Acquisition professional. Preferably in the hospitality services, retail or high-volume industry. 
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in managing people and processes in the recruitment or staffing function. 
  • Four (4) year degree in related field or equivalent work experience. 
  • Must be able to comply with all state gaming regulations, which may include obtaining a license in addition to an Alcohol Beverage Control card.

Physical Requirements

  • Casino is over 300,000 square feet and requires ability and energy to move about it with a true sense of urgency.
  • Sitting 70%

  • Use of going up and down 31 stairs multiple times per day and elevators
  • 24/7 operation requiring extended hours and the ability and willingness meet the applicant’s schedules when needed. 

Working Conditions

  • 24/7 high energy casino with over 300,000 sq. ft of gaming and entertainment space and approximately 3000 employees
  • Exposed to alcohol, cigarette and cigar smoke, bright lights, and loud noises.
  • You may occasionally work in an environment where smoking is allowed.
