Position Purpose:  The Corporate Director of IT will under the direction of the President, maintain the quality and the seamless technology systems and subsequent IT teams at the properties. The Corporate Director of IT is a strategic business leader of the company with responsibility for all aspects of the IT operation, including guest and employee technology function and safety.

Supervisory Responsibilities:  All IT team members at designated properties

Essential Duties and Functions/Responsibilities/Tasks:

  • Work under direction of the President.
  • Maintain positive and professional approach with employees, coworkers, and guests.
  • Establish an IT strategy that supports the Heritage brand positioning in local market; verifies that demand forecasting and sound revenue practices are in place to maximize yield for IT; identifies ways to grow by researching and staying aware of competitor strategies; and changes within the Information Technology realm.
  • Managing the information security systems and infrastructure, administering company systems and networks.
  • Direct the effective delivery of networks, development, and disaster recovery systems and processes, including identifying and eliminating security risks.
  • Set goals for performance that coincide with Heritage's plans and vision.
  • Review work orders, and changes to IT needs, and schedules IT labor accordingly.
  • Drive morale positively as the accountable party to be present and visible to team members, managing the help desk needs of the company. 
  • Communicate regularly with property staff regarding work orders and required timeframe for turnaround.
  • Navigate life cycle management and purchasing strategy.
  • Responsible for IT labor, renewal, purchasing, and project budgets.
  • Assign, train, mentor and direct staff while fostering an environment for employees to be successful in performance, and further feel engaged and valued.
  • Perform interview, hire, disciplinary, and termination actions when necessary for staff.
  • Ensure company compliance with legal, safety, operations, labor, and the Heritage brand product and service standards.
  • Interact with employees to obtain feedback of their experiences when it comes to company IT issues; utilize feedback to recognize excellent team member service performance and improve service delivery.
  • Collaborate with Accounting Department regularly to ensure supplies and equipment are paid for and in the general ledger appropriately.
  • Meet with vendors and contractors to learn about new software, products, and services offered.
  • Oversee / Carry out special projects for property.
  • Other duties as assigned consistent with the functions of this position as needed at any of the properties.


  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, information systems, computer science or related field required. (graduate degree a plus)
  • Sound understanding of computer systems, networks, security, telecommunications, databases and storage systems.
  • Solid working knowledge of all relevant coding languages and security protocols.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and ability to multitask.
  • Minimum five years’ experience working in IT operations, hospitality experience a plus.
  • Minimum three years’ experience overseeing IT teams and projects.
  • Certifications and continuing education preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays and late nights.
  • Ability to work on your feet for eight hours or more.
  • Must be able to lift/push/reach for/carry 30+ pounds occasionally.
