EDUCATION: Ability to read, write, speak, and follow written or oral directions in English; some mechanically oriented courses.
TRAINING & EXPERIENCE: Five years experience as an industrial mechanic; some experience working golf course machinery; valid state driver’s license.
JOB KNOWLEDGE: Working knowledge of engines, to include gas, diesels, and hydraulics; general knowledge of golf course maintenance machinery; knowledge of welding.
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for maintenance and repairs of all golf course machinery and equipment.
PHYSICAL ABILITIES: Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions; must be able to work under and on equipment and machinery for several hours at a time; must be able to lift, move, and carry 70 pounds; must be able to drive a motor vehical.
DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, to include weekends, holidays and split shifts.
Must arrive to work on time, consistently.
Upon entering the property, arrive in proper uniform, crisp, clean and in good repair.
Hair must be clean and cut in a becoming style; management has final approval.
Attend all required training, safety courses; attend office and departmental meetings.
Report any safety hazards, follow up that hazard has been corrected, and assist with providing a safe work environment.
Know use of all appropriate equipment and safety features.
Maintain all golf course machinery with as little downtime as possible.
Perform all mechanical and electrical preventative maintenance and repairs to golf course machinery and equipment.
Attend all scheduled staff meetings, approximately every two weeks.
Perform any other duties to help maintain a top quality property as assigned by the Shop Manager.
