CMIT Solutions of Central Rhode Island is looking for an experienced Hospitality Help Desk Technician.

**This position will be based at our headquarters in Cranston, Rhode Island**

What you will be doing

  • Provide immediate technical assistance to staff to resolve computer hardware and software problems either in person, via telephone or electronically.
  • Provide support to users in problem in problems resolution, guides user through troubleshooting procedures, and develops troubleshooting scripts.
  • Simulates or recreates user problems to resolve operating difficulties.
  • Tracks client issues and resolutions to assure satisfaction and closure; qualifies trouble tickets for escalation as appropriate.
  • Recommends system modification or hardware and software improvements to reduce or eliminate user problems
  • Performs upgrades t hardware, software, and deployment of new hardware and software technologies in compliance with internal controls, policies, and standards.

The ideal candidate for this position

  • Four year Bachelor's degree in related field
  • Two to five years of previous experience in IT
  • Minimum two years in customer service relating to Hospitality.
  • Foundational understanding of IT systems and networks.
  • Previous support experience with property management systems including Opera, PMS, OnQ, Infor, Agilysys, Micros 3700/Symphony, Digital Dining and Aloha.
  • Experience with key systems including Ving, Saflok, and Onity
  • Experience with digital signage vendors including Fourwinds and Janus
  • Ability to work flexible days/hours - some on-call duty required.
