SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.

  • Coordinate cleaning of maintenance area and equipment
  • Responsible for all phases of landscape operation

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Ability to make reasonable horticultural decisions
  • Good supervisory skills
  • Ability to recognize and resolve repair challenges
  • Ability to lift/push/pull heavy objects (20-100 lb.)
  • Extensive knowledge of equipment and tools used in landscape maintenance
  • Extensive knowledge of landscape materials, including plant species commonly used in this horticultural zone
  • Ability to walk, stand, bend, kneel and climb for long periods
  • Ability to walk long distances over all types terrain; in all types of weather

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

EDUCATION

 Two year Degree in Horticulture preferred, but not required

EXPERIENCE

Minimum of  6 Years of Horticulture and Landscape Maintenance Experience

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES

Structural Pest Control Commission Certification and Professional Landscape Maintenance/Horticulturist Certification, Valid Arizona Drivers License
