Summary of Responsibilities for this Position

The Director of Revenue Performance & Analytics will be a key member of the Revenue Excellence Team.  This role will be responsible for setting up systems, processes and key performance indicators that measure top line revenue performance and market share opportunities.  The Director of Revenue Performance & Analytics will develop a suite of tools, reporting, and analysis with full focus on optimizing, maximizing and improving each hotel’s revenue performance.  A deep understanding of and the ability to synthesize hotel revenue by channel (OTA,, GDS, etc) and segment (including food & beverage revenue) will be critical to the Director of Revenue Performance & Analytics success.  Deliverables will include standardized reporting, dashboards, budgeting and forecasting tools and visualizations for a diverse set of stakeholders, which will include general managers, company executives and owners.

What you will be doing

  • Measuring the effectiveness of key sales, revenue and marketing efforts while benchmarking best practices and establishing KPIs and SOPs for measuring performance.
  • Develop accurate performance tracking, predictive analytics and presentations using both internal and third party data via Excel VBA applications and scale to more complex BI applications as needed.
  • Develop, distribute and support revenue, marketing and sales reporting with focus on channel and segment optimization, sales productivity and return on marketing spend.
  • Create and maintain scalable budgeting, forecasting tools and SOPs.
  • Conducts deep dive analytics and recommendations that optimize revenue performance for individual hotels, “like” groups of hotels and the entire company.
  • Regularly assess reporting requirements and develop long-term strategy for various reporting solutions.
  • Monitor accuracy, timeliness and consistency of revenue data imports and take ownership of the cleanliness and quality of revenue data.
  • Establish and manage scalable database structures in conjunction with IT.

The ideal candidate for this position will have: 

  • A desire and aptitude to understand hotel specific data and optimize hotel performance at the individual hotel and enterprise level.
  • Detail oriented, accurate, yet flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities and tight timelines.  Attention to detail, accuracy and strong self-review skills must be core skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, data manipulation, cleansing and query development.
  • The ability to collect, organize, evaluate data from multiple sources and identify trends to optimize revenue performance through data modeling and statistical analysis. 
  • Excellent project management and verbal and written communication skills required, especially in delivering complex concepts in clear, concise, and relevant communication style to diverse group stakeholder.
  • Experience querying and synthesizing data from multiple sources and creating insights through visualization and reporting tools such as Tableau, Sisense, MS Power BI, Cognos and/or MicrStrategy. 
  • Expertise of VBA and SQL preferred.
  • Familiarity with hotel specific operational technology such as ProfitSword, Broadvine, M3, revenue, property management and reservations platforms a plus. 



  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Mathematics, Require. (Master's Degree Preferred)


  • 5+ years professional experience, preferably in hotel industry.
  • 3+ years in asset management, business intelligence, data modeling, analytics and/or revenue management.
  • Understanding and experience working with databases and data warehouse design and development.
