Work in an exciting fast-paced environment as a Ski Valet.  The ideal Ski Valet has a passion for skiing, snowboarding, and other winter sports.  The Ski Valet is responsible for receiving and storing guest ski and snowboard equipment in a timely fashion.  In addition, the Ski Valet assists all guests with any special needs and/or services.  The Ski Valet position also offers opportunities to serve as an on-call outdoor tour guide, up to manager discretion, and opportunities to work with managers for an unpaid ski break during the work day.  Working as a Ski Valet is an exciting and unique opportunity to join the Lodge at Spruce Peak team while exercising a passion for winter sports.

Functions

• Receive all ski and snowboard equipment from guests upon arrival
• Appropriately store equipment according to the standard operating procedure
• Prepare ski and snowboard equipment in a timely fashion each day for guest use
• Provide assistance to guests with personalized service and communicates directly with them, both in person and by telephone
• Stay knowledgeable and informed about all resort services, operations and activities as well as local information on restaurants, shops and activities
• Provide information on facilities and services, events and attractions, tours, travel routes and transportation schedules
• Provide ski conditions, ski maps, brochures and other literature

Qualifications

• • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Knowledge of ski and snowboard equipment required
  • Knowledge of Mount Mansfield strongly preferred
  • Prior concierge or hospitality experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Technical proficiency in basic computer applications
  • Customer service experience
  • Solid judgment and ability to resolve conflicts effectively
  • Operate effectively in stressful situations
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to adapt to changing guest needs
  • Flexible schedule to include early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
