You should be passionate about putting out consistent, quality food and seeking opportunities to learn and grow in the kitchen. You should be able to follow recipes and take direction from the Chef or Sous Chef and also explore your creativity where appropriate. You welcome the fast, often hectic pace of the kitchen and are above all a team player.

Ensure the preparation station and the kitchen is set up and stocked.
Prepare food items, preparation equipment, small wares, plate ware, food ingredients, garnishes and supply items needed for effective operation of the station. Reports any problems or discrepancies to Sous Chef/Chef on a timely basis.
Operate oven and hot prep equipment, ensure proper time/temp of all hot and cooked foods
Report to the executive chef and follow instructions.
Make sure food preparation and storage areas meet health and safety standards.
Ensures our guests have a superior dining experience by correctly prepping food products
Assists Sous Chef/Chef and other kitchen team members in accomplishing closing duties and kitchen cleanliness.
Minimum 1 year experience as a prep cook in a full service, fine dining upscale, table cloth or casual dining restaurant required.
Experience with fresh products preferred.

Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours in length.
Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
Must be able to work in an environment subject to extreme cold (30 degrees), heat (temperatures above 100 degrees), loud noises from restaurant equipment and machinery, and fumes, odors, dust and smoke.
