Hospitality Renovation Associate Project Manager

Schulte Design + Construction is currently seeking a results-oriented Hospitality Renovation Associate Project Manager to manage select and full service hotel renovations. This position is a corporate role based out of Louisville, Kentucky - candidates must be willing to relocate if based outside of the Louisville KY area.

Position Overview

The Associate Project Manager (APM) has full responsibility for the renovation project group they are assigned from the development of initial budgeting through final completion. During this project they will work closely with a Senior Project Manager to train them on the process. The APM will work with our operations and revenue teams to develop a project delivery schedule. The APM then manages the bid and award process for architecture design services followed by the bid and award of General Contractor and FF&E procurement contracts. Working closely with the design team, the APM will manage the design process to deliver a brand approved design within the project budget constraints and will then lead the project through a successful completion and final brand approval.

The Hospitality Renovation Associate Project Manager will travel to their renovation sites on an as-needed basis as required to monitor the job progress and manage the work flow.

Qualified candidates will possess the following:

  • A minimum of a four year college degree is required, ideally in construction management, engineering or architecture.
  • Skills required are:
    • Strong administrative
    • Effective interpersonal and communication
    • Well-developed business writing
    • Multi-task orientation with strong problem resolution capabilities
    • Cost estimating and budgeting
    • Ability to produce and update construction schedules
    • Strong contract and cost management
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Project, Excel and Word
  • Ability to read and analyze MEP, ID, and Architectural drawings.
  • Able to manage a General Contractor's on-site work product to maintain schedule and high quality levels.
