About This Job

The Director of Hotel Systems and Technology is responsible for providing support and strategy for all aspects of hotel technology within the Schulte Hospitality platform. This individual will work with the various stakeholders to review, implement, and monitor various technology deployments within the organization.

This is a technical role with experience and knowledge of various hotel technologies.

  • Engages and manages the relationship with external technology vendors/suppliers and maintain a high level of expectations.
  • Manage the companies SOX/PCI compliance programs and work with location to insure reporting and compliance.
  • Oversee the diligence and procurement of new hotel technology and replacement technology.
  • Maintain records of hotel systems and technology and track changes to these systems
  • Keep educated on the individual hotel brand technology requirements and planned projects and upgrades and assist hotels through the process.
  • Participate in managing technology-related standards and procedures.
  • Provide senior management periodic reports and updates on the status of technology projects and statistics.
  • Participate in the annual budgeting process with hotel operations to provide guidance on operational as well as capital expenses.
  • Drive and facilitate collaboration between the Technology Group and other disciplines within the Schulte organization.
  • Work with hotel properties to help troubleshoot potential problems and work with vendors to a resolution.

Experience and Skills

  • 4-year bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a related field appropriate to work of the position; OR related work experience; IT Degree qualification is preferred
  • Two (2) years’ experience in Hotel Technology management for multiple properties
  • Experience with hotel property management systems and point of sale systems
  • Knowledge of network systems and administration including firewalls, switches, and routers and troubleshooting hotel specific issues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technology projects to ownership and others
  • Experience with managing large technology projects and coordination with various suppliers and vendors
  • Excellent task management and organization skills. Ability to handle critical time-sensitive deadlines effectively
