EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent. Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language at a level sufficient to communicate effectively with staff and guests.
TRAINING & EXPERIENCE: Must be well versed in croquet with over 1 year of croquet teaching experience. Must have completed some training from a Croquet Center of Learning.
JOB KNOWLEDGE: Instructors must have the ability to communicate the philosophy and instruct the game of Croquet to members/resort guests.
JOB SUMMARY: Demonstrate competency in the following areas: Ensure students have a safe, challenging and enjoyable Croquet experience by providing a positive attitude; encourage all those participating, and deliver top quality service and use the student’s name to create a professional yet compassionate atmosphere.
The Croquet Professional is responsible for all Club croquet activity and programming, including Club play, Club vs Club League play, and croquet special events
Develop programming for all ages and groups
Organize clinics and private lessons that encourage participation in the Club’s croquet program
Promote croquet memberships to all potential prospects.
Act as the Club’s Croquet Ambassador to enhance the value of the Club.
Maintain courts in a professional manner and ensure that the environment is safe for all those who use the facility.
Attend all required training, safety courses, office and departmental meetings.
Immediately report any safety hazards; follow up that hazard has been corrected, and assist with providing a safe work environment.
Become proficient on all appropriate equipment and safety features.
Perform all opening or closing duties as assigned or required.
Greet members and guests by name whenever possible.
Maintain good relations with members: individuals, Clubs and Leagues
Keep Croquet and Bocce courts neat, clean and orderly. Maintain equipment, inspect, clean and sanitize regularly.
Assist with administrative duties like court reservation schedules, private lessons, and other social events.
Make callbacks to all members/guests inquiring about Croquet.
