About This Job

The Business Development Analyst will help drive future growth for the company. The position will work directly with the business development leadership performing research and due diligence support for the underwriting of acquisitions, 3rd party management contracts and development projects.

Responsibilities:

Acquisitions

  • Underwrite and value individual lodging and portfolio assets for acquisition on an ongoing basis, including:
  • Perform due diligence check, data collection and analysis to evaluate hotel markets
  • Prepare supply and demand, pro-forma financial and valuation analyses
  • Assist in the due diligence process for new acquisitions
  • Prepare materials for the Board related to potential acquisitions
  • Screen and underwrite potential hotel acquisition, Joint Venture (JV) and new development opportunities

Dispositions

  • Interface with internal and external parties in connection with the marketing of and due diligence on disposition properties.
  • Prepare materials for the Board related to disposition assets

Other

  • Preparation of high-quality presentations for owners, investors, and partners
  • Assist in preparation of RFP responses and due diligence for prospective management opportunities

Manage internal databases

  • Prepare written and financial Investment Committee Memo for both internal and external purposes.

Requirements:

Education/Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, accounting/finance, economics or related area required.

Skills/Experience:

  • A minimum of one (1) year of hospitality industry experience, consulting and finance experience preferred
  • Experience in financial modeling preferred
  • Knowledge of lodging and real estate industry required
  • Computer literate, with quantitative modeling skills required
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially in Excel
  • Ability to produce high-quality reports and investment memo in a timely manner required
  • Excellent written and quantitative analysis skills with strong attention to detail required
  • Must be self-motivated, goal-oriented and results driven

Pay Range:  $48,900 - $58,680
