Under the direction of the Director of Transportation, the Transportation Manager is responsible for increasing profitability through Casino group performance while securing new business in designated marketing zones. The Transportation Manager is accountable for the successful management and operation of the centralized fleet program for department vehicles, and maintaining Department of Transportation and Public Utilities Commission compliance. Additionally, the Transportation Manager maintains oversight of operational and best in class service in Valet operations, holding team members accountable for daily performance, and contributions to Department goals and deliverables.
The Manager formulates strategic group and market improvement plans, and monitors independent vendor contract compliance to ensure revenue growth and charter safety. This role is responsible for generating revenue and data reports based on key performance indicators to effectively manage capital resources and assets. The Transportation Manager is accountable for the creation and execution of all Department directives, goals and internal and external vendor communications.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the enterprise’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning reviewing and directing work; evaluating and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management preferred; or minimum of four (4) years casino management or marketing experience.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point essential.
Must have demonstrated ability exercising utmost discretion with confidential information including, but not limited to: credit card information and personal or financial data from customers.
Completion of the internal Tribal Administrative Certificate Program (TACP) is highly desired.
At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
A qualified candidate/employee must have and maintain a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record as determined by the enterprise’s insurance carrier.
Must have or obtain a California Commercial Driver’s License, Class A, B, or C with a passenger endorsement with a valid DMV Medical Certificate.
