The Residence Inn by Marriott Pleasanton is looking for an Engineering Manager to help lead the Maintenance/Engineering Department!  The Engineering Manager is responsible for assisting to oversee the operation, repair and maintenance of all buildings, machinery and equipment of the property. 

The Engineering Manager is responsible for leading a team of 3 maintenance/engineering staff members to provide service to the guests while maintaining the operations of the building.

JOB DUTIES:

• Assist to oversee the overall operations of maintenance/engineering department including recruiting, training and development, payroll, department labor budget and hotel capital budget.
• Assist to meet compliance of hotels internal and external audits related to: Safety & Security, Quality Assurance, Fire Inspections, Hotel Major Equipment, OSHA and ADA
• Assist overseeing capital construction and major maintenance projects.
• Assist to maintain and refine the preventive maintenance program.
• Assist establishing relationship with vendors and monitor vendors to assure quality, delivery, warranties, upgrades, etc are consistently utilized. Work closely with vendors to assure proper pricing, delivery and maintenance.
• Assist obtaining competitive bids for all supplies and work orders.
• Assist and work with HRD to facilitate Safety Committee Monthly Meeting and Training
• Responsible for training Hotels Safety and Security procedures to Managers, MOD and Security Staff.
• Position reports to Chief Engineer, GM, with dotted line reporting to the Corporate Director of Engineering. 
• As leader of the department, might be required to work day/night shifts and weekdays/weekends if necessary including MOD program.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as Engineering Manager at a similar size property or Lead Engineer
• Experience managing team members schedule and payroll
• Prefer hotel maintenance background
• Technical knowledge: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, boilers, swimming pool certified and refrigeration.
• Clean DMV record in order to assist with shuttle service as needed.
