About This Job

MOXY South Beach - located in heart of vibrant Miami Beach – is scheduled to open Early 2021!  We are looking for a fun, engaging and detailed oriented pool attendant to be part of our opening team!

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Greets all guest arriving at the pool in a professional, friendly and engaging manner.
  • Anticipates guests’ needs, responds promptly and acknowledges all guests, however busy and whatever the time of day.
  • Maintains positive guest relations at all times.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of daily house count, VIP’s in-house, arrivals/departures, all hotel facilities and services, and hours of operation for each F&B outlet.
  • Obtain clean towels from Laundry and transport to pool deck; fold and stack towels, distribute to guests throughout the day.
  • Open, set-up and organize pool deck.
  • Set-up pool furniture, towels and umbrellas.
  • Remove trash and debris from all work areas and pool facility.
  • Sweep and clean pool decks as needed.
  • Check pool restrooms throughout shift for supply levels, cleanliness and working order. Notify the proper departments with any needs.
  • Adheres to all pool safety standard, including safety procedures for adverse weather conditions.
  • Ensures all pool guidelines are being followed for safety and security of guests.
  • Collects dirty towels left on chairs and pool deck.
  • Complete closing duties. Return soiled towels to Laundry.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Familiar with frequently used Standard Operating Procedures.

Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal.

Individual must possess a good work history and stability.

Willingness to respond to emergency situations on short notice.

Individuals must be service and detail oriented.

Must comply with all department, hotel, and corporate standard operating procedures.

Responsible for knowing Hotel emergency procedures.

GUEST RELATIONS

Be readily available and approachable for all guests.

Take proactive approaches when dealing with guest concerns.  Follow property specific second effort and recovery plan.

Extend professionalism and courtesy to guests at all times.

Greet guests in public areas of hotel.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of supportive functions, determined by the GM: 

The hotel operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.  Schedules must accommodate fluctuating business demands and associates may be asked to work shifts other than those they prefer or normally work.

Carry out all reasonable requests by leadership team.

Comply with department uniform and appearance standard
