Hyatt Place Dewey Beach / Hyatt House Lewes, DELOOKING FOR A REGIONAL DIRECTOR OF SALES AND MARKETING TO LEAD TWO HYATT BRANDED HOTELS IN THE DELAWARE BEACH MARKET!
We are looking for a hands-on, highly effective Regional Director of Sales for our Hyatt Place Dewey Beach, Lighthouse Cove Event Center, and the new Hyatt House Lewes/Rehoboth Beach properties. The Regional Director of Sales and Marketing will develop and implement sales and marketing strategies that will achieve revenue goals for our resort style hotels. This position will work closely with the General Manager at each of the locations as well as the sales managers for each property.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the total revenue of the Hyatt Place Dewey Beach, Lighthouse Cove Event Center and Hyatt House Lewes/Rehoboth Beach
Based on each of the properties selling strategy, actively sell and lead a team to book appropriate business into the appropriate hotel that serves the need of the guests and maximizes the revenue opportunity for the hotel.
Work in partnership with the properties General Managers and sales team to develop, communicate and implement sales strategies, mix of business, channel management and pricing strategies.
Develop a strong Ecommerce presence through internet and social media marketing.
Prepare annual sales team goals based on each properties budget and team accountability for achieving both revenue and soft goals.
Follow and ensure that the teams adhere to all of TKo’s Sales SOPs in regards to contract terms and processes, and the correct utilization of sales and catering systems.
Develop annual and monthly sales budget and forecasts or each location.
Maintain hotel relationships with key accounts to increase customer satisfaction and account revenue.
Is an “expert” when it comes to selling against the hotel’s competitive set for each location
Monitors achievement of objectives for the sales teams and take appropriate action to correct shortfalls versus the annual marketing plan
Provides suggestions to the General Managers and owners regarding growing the company’s revenue.
Understands the business rationale behind the annual budgeting process for each property (revenue generation and Advertising and Promotion costs).
Prepare and maintain a current annual marketing plan with measurable and specific initiatives detailed to maintain and grow each business segment
Accept leadership responsibilities by modeling proper selling techniques, effective development of others and commitment to industry and personal development.
Strives to continually improve his/her general business and industry/job specific skills by attending Brand sponsored sales training, and, if appropriate, outside continuing education.
Interview, select, educate, schedule, coach and support associates, ensuring the perform in accordance with established brand/hotel standards and are consistent with TKo’s Core Values of TKo CAREs

PREREQUISITES
College Degree (BS/BA) preferred or equivalent work experience
A minimum 5 years of experience as a Full Service DOSM with heavy group and catering revenue. Resort experience would be a plus.
Internet marketing and social media experience
Strong computer skills with good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Hotel Sales Systems such as Hotel SalesPro, Insight or Delphi. Hyatt’s Envision Sales System is preferred.
Demonstrated success in developing a successful sales team.
Travel regionally to conduct outside calls, attend tradeshows and conferences
WORK ENVIROMENT AND CONTEXT
Work schedule varies and may include working on holidays and weekends.
Required to sit for extended periods, lift up to 10 pounds, bend, reach, use hands and fingers to operate keyboard.
