About This Job

The Owner of the Opus Hotel in White Plains, (formally the Ritz Carlton Westchester ), is seeking an eager, hardworking, enthusiastic individual interested in a full-time position in real estate accounting .

This would be an exciting opportunity to be involved in accounting management of various investments in all real estate aspects (Hospitality, Residential, Commercial and Lending). The individual hired for the position will get to expand her or his knowledge and experience in accounting and financing.

This position requires the individual to be a multi-tasking problem solver, capable of working independently as well as under the direction of the company’s’ executives.

This role reports directly to the ownership group and would not be an associate of Crescent Hotels and Resorts.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare asset management financial reports on the individual assets.
  • Assist with preparation of annual budgets.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for lenders, partners, etc.
  • Prepare sales tax filing and Form 1099 filings.
  • Monitor cash balances.
  • Perform financial statement analysis.  
  • Manage accounts payables and receivables
  • Reconcile Bank and Credit Card accounts
  • Maintain and post Journal transactions
  • Balance and maintain accurate ledgers
  • Pay vendor invoices and track bank account balances

Experience & Requirements

  • Must have Real Estate Accounting experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in either accounting, finance or real estate
  • At least 2 Year Experience
  • Excel and MS Office advanced knowledge

  • Ability to work independently, organize tasks, manage time, and prioritize day to day work
  • Strong detail orientation and organization skills
  • Multi-task in a time sensitive setting
  • Flexibility to perform and manage other duties as needed to support day-to-day administrative tasks
