What you will be doing

• Coordinate the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding process for all Associates and Hotel Leadership.
• Identify sources of talent in local community/ areas - establish relationships and pipelines to meet needs to the hotel.
• Work with Corp. talent Team to establish, market and manage continuously employment brand within the community and talent pools.
• Conduct an orientation program for all new hires, prior to their start in home department
• Coach Hotel Leadership team on progressive discipline practices and key employee relations matters.
• Facilitate the administration of brand/management company training, Associate Recognition Programs, Safety Activities, and Workers' Compensation Case Management.
• Follow HVMG guidelines for performance reviews on all associates. 
• Coordinate Open Enrollment and communication/adherence to processes surrounding Associate Benefits.
• Partner with HVMG Corporate HR Team on HR Initiatives such as (but not limited to): Employee Relations, Benefits, and Recruitment.
• Assist OASIS Outsourcing with coordination associate requests, ensuring authorized approvals and paperwork on: Leave of Absence/Transfer/Vacation/Personal/Bereavement Time/401(k)/Hotel discounts.
• Ensure payroll submission is timely and accurate.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of associates and hotel records.
• Prepare the Human Resources budget annually.  Track actuals to forecast and keep expenses within budget.
• Foster and promote a cooperative working climate, maximizing productivity and associate morale.
• Contact local organizations and establish "Good Will" projects which the hotel can become involved with to promote positive public relations with the local community.

What's Required to be Considered

• Experience: A minimum of 4 plus years’ progressive human resources experience in a similar environment. (2 Years at a Manager level leading the HR function within the hotel).
• Education: Four-year college degree or equivalent / related field.
• PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP, Highly Preferred.
• Hotel Opening Experience - including leading and planning the efforts sourcing & recruiting a qualified team.
• Brand experience is preferred.
