Summary:  The Valet Attendant is responsible for creating and enhancing the Arrival/Departure experience for our guests at the brand-new Hyatt Centric Old Town Alexdandria.  This means establishing an excellent level of service and attitude equivalent or better than AAA Four-diamond service levels, exceeding guest satisfaction at all levels and performing job requirements to Hyatt Centric standards.  The primary responsibilities beyond service levels include but are not limited to assisting guests with their luggage, assisting as a valet driver, and providing the front desk with any additional assistance.

Valid Drivers License with clean driving record is REQUIRED.  Please do not apply if you do not meet this criteria.   Any offer of employment is contingent upon a successful background and driving record check.

This is a gratuity earning position. Hourly pay rate is $9.00 per hour.

• Warmly greet all incoming guests
• Opens doors for incoming guests
• Assists guests with their luggage
• Retrieve guest’s cars in a fast and efficient manner.
• Responsible for room deliveries and errands for guests
• Provides hotel information and concierge recommendations to guests
• Offers warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guests of Hyatt Centric including use of guest name when possible & good eye contact with each guest.
• Maintain the cleanliness of work station including but not limited to sweeping areas, cleaning stairs, cleaning doors, and more.  These tasks and others must be completed with own initiative.
• Provides room orientations upon check-in in accordance with AAA 4 diamond standards.
• Interacts with hotel staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information
• Always maintains a professional demeanor and attitude
• Communicates all pertinent information to the Manager on Duty
• Maintains constant awareness of safety issues, (i.e. broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks and suspicious persons). Reports all safety incidents to  shift supervisor.
• Acts with responsibility towards all company property, supplies and equipment.
• Maintains a professional appearance. Follows all Hyatt Centric dress code standards.
• Remains alert, courteous and helpful to the guests and colleagues at all times.
• Provides adequate/proper tip claim information
