Job Purpose:

To perform a combination of tasks that maintain hotel premises in a clean and orderly manner, thereby contributing to a pleasant, positive guest experience

Job Responsibilities:  

• Display good customer relation skills and take initiative to greet guests in a friendly manner.
• Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas.
• Moves/arranges furniture and dusts/polishes furniture, metalwork, and equipment.
• Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors, using brooms and mops and powered scrubbing and waxing machines. Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using a vacuum cleaner.
• Collects soiled linens for laundering and receives and stores linen supplies in the linen closet.
•  Refurnishes room with supplies, towels, etc. as required.  Stocks cleaning cart with appropriate supplies for the shift.
• Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork; washes windows, door panels, and sills.
• Empties wastebaskets and empties and cleans ashtrays.  Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
• Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to management; complete safety training and certifications.
• Deliver items to floors when requested and assist with others areas of the hotel when needed.
• Ensure uniform and appearance is clean and professional, Protect company assets.
• Other duties as assigned.
