1 Hotel Nashville is in search of a seasoned and highly ambitious, opening Director of Entertainment Sales to lead all activities related to the sales function and revenue generation within the Entertainment, Media, Advertising, and Public Relations markets.  A thoughtful entertainment sales leader who isn't afraid to take calculated risks and develop solutions. They are a natural at relationship building, and a sharp numbers person; who can drive measurable results and increase total revenue. Now that’s a beautiful thing.

What you will be doing (but not limited to)...

  • Target and win over business via outside sales calls, hosting site inspections, client entertainment, presentations, familiarization trips, and sales trips, cold calling and emailing, networking, attending industry and association events. Prospect, solicit and close new business as well as maintain repeat client’s needs and maximize revenues
  • Serve as the primary contact for introducing and representing 1 Hotel Nashville with the Entertainment (Film, Television, Music, Production), Media, Advertising, and Public Relations markets.
  • Identify and participate in industry organizations along with trade shows and specialty events which will deliver further exposure to the 1 Hotel Nashville.
  • Prepare periodic Sales reports and updates.
  • Stay informed of market trends and introduce new products and services to drive guest engagement, increase revenue and ensure a competitive position in the Nashville market.
  • Utilize interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence and inspire others; advocate sound business decisions; demonstrate honesty and integrity; lead by example.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Passionate sales leader with 5+ years of progressive entertainment sales experience in an upper upscale and/or luxury environment.
  • Proven ability to develop the entertainment sales tactics and strategy in collaboration with the Director of Sales and Marketing.
  • Polished presentation skills, exceptional follow-up capabilities and great business development acumen.
  • Well versed in Sales & Marketing and Revenue Management aspects.
  • A post-secondary diploma or degree preferred.
  • Technically savvy and familiar with hospitality sales systems.
  • Flexibility to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation.
