When no one else is around, you take charge and get the job done!  If these characteristics sound like you, we are looking for you.  We are in search of an experienced FRONT OFFICE SUPERVISOR at the DoubleTree by Hilton Monrovia-Pasadena.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Handle guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Supervise front desk agents and workload during shift. Complete shift check-lists as specified.
  • Run accurate room status reports in a timely manner and relay necessary information to affected departments and individuals.
  • Update daily group information; maintain and be familiar with future group files. Monitor and prepare group requirements and relay necessary information to affected departments and individuals.
  • Print cashier's report and verify balances. Verify all banks and deposits accordingly.
  • Report all activity efficiently during shift change and the appropriate departments.
  • Respond to guest questions regarding the hotel. Know the layout of the hotel and the surrounding areas.
  • Perform any other job related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player. Considerable skill in the use of a calculator to prepare moderately complex mathematical calculations without error. Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts. Ability to stand and move throughout front office and continuously perform essential job functions. Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system. Ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members and guest/.

Required Experience:

  • THIS POSITION REQUIRES 2 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN THE HOTEL INDUSTRY.

Required Education

  • High school or equivalent
