JOB SUMMARY Leads the planning, execution, and evaluation of all email campaigns for Gaylord Hotels brand marketing needs. Consults, advises, and educates on hotel driven business-to-consumer and business-to-business email campaigns and initiatives. Partners with multiple clients, including, VP’s of Marketing, copywriters, e-Commerce personnel, hotel marketing personnel, and external vendors to execute the necessary business and marketing strategies/ tactics.
Education and Experience • Undergraduate degree in marketing or related field; 3+ years experience in email marketing. • Experience with HTML coding, CSS design, and using Email Service Providers (Eloqua, Exact Target, etc.).
Preferred • Experience with Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe Illustrator, DreamWeaver and other comparable WYSIWYG tools that create HTML files, edit image files, produce creative assets and other steps necessary to produce emails. • Experience with audience segmentation, email list management, and can-spam best practices. • Experience with A/B testing strategies and reporting on email performance. • Working knowledge of tag management systems (Adobe Launch, Google Tag Manager, etc.).
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Managing eMarketing Activities • Leads the planning, building, execution, and evaluation of all email campaigns for Brand Marketing. • Develops email marketing plans and strategies based upon customer analysis and customer segmentation in order to better target meeting planners and customers (discount marketing, product announcements, enewsletters, product announcements, etc). • Provides consulting, advice and education on business-to-consumer and business-to-business targeted emails strategies and helps provide insights in messaging/offer/content strategy that helps optimize the right message, to the rioght customer, at the right time. • Act as daily point person with multiple clients, email service provider and other direct marketing vendors to verify needs and goals are aligned for email and data analytics related to email (e.g., manage lists, list selection, and overall customer touch strategy.) • Reports on the efficacy of email campaigns to senior and hotel management on a monthly basis and provides recommendation on strategy. • Tests campaigns to increase email conversion, click-through rates, minimize unsubscribe rates and drive incremental revenue. • Collaborates with other important constituencies to better understand and further refine segmentation and targeting of email communications. • Conducts regular overviews and consulting to educate multiple client base with special emphasis on hotel campaign planning and tracking. • Creates innovative email automation programs and leverages the web for list acquisition efforts. • Establishes benchmarks and trends for Email, set up tracking/conversion mechanisms, identify successful activities, and share knowledge throughout the organization.
Building Successful Relationships • Works closely with the Gaylord Marketing Organization to verify the timeliness, quality and effectiveness of emails. • Partners with multiple clients, including VP’s of Marketing, copywriters, e-Commerce personnel, hotel marketing personnel, and external vendors to execute the necessary business and marketing strategies/ tactics. • Performs other duties, as assigned.
