The Opportunity

Hyatt seeks a highly motivated strategic insights professional who is passionate about using data and insights to create a better guest experience, enable informed decision-making, and drive innovation. 

In this role, you will define and lead the consumer learning agenda to Advance Care and drive preference for Hyatt’s portfolio of brands. You will design and execute research and analyses to understand consumer behavior, motivations, preferences, and experiences utilizing various sources of information including custom/primary research, syndicated research, and internal data. You will have an opportunity to use your strong communication and presentation skills to deliver findings and recommendations to business partners across the organization.    

You will be a part of a team that is highly collaborative and passionate about our growing portfolio of brands and work collaboratively with Marketing, Digital, World of Hyatt, Sales, and Operations.

The Role

  • Define and lead the consumer learning agenda to Advance Care and drive preference for Hyatt’s portfolio of brands.
  • Tell a cohesive and actionable story utilizing various sources of information including custom/primary research, syndicated research, and internal data.
  • Lead, design, and execute custom/primary research to meet objectives.
  • Work collaboratively with Marketing, Digital, World of Hyatt, Sales, and Operations.
  • Partner with and manage external suppliers to execute research projects efficiently. 
  • Demonstrate holistic thinking, strategic agility, and leadership with all levels of the organization. 
  • Lead and train direct reports (if applicable).
  • Advance Hyatt’s competitive advantage via strategic insights.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Psychology, Marketing Research, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or related field required. Master’s Degree preferred. 
  • 7+ years of relevant Consumer Insights and/or Analytics experience, preferably on client-side or combination of supplier-side and client-side experience, industry experience is preferred
  • 2+ years of previous people management experience (preferred)
  • Previous experience leveraging consumer insights to drive business results
  • Experience with developing objective point-of-view, be seen as strategic thought leader on team, and build constructive rapport with internal clients and outside research suppliers
  • Extensive planning and project management experience
  • Experience devising effective solutions in unstructured situations
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
