About This Job

We are currently adding to our sales team and searching for a dynamic Sales Manager who will be responsible for generating new business and growing existing accounts, for both group and catering business, in order to maximize revenue and profits for the hotel. Looking for someone who has the heart and tenacity to hunt and discover new business for the hotel. This position will be responsible for account management of key market segments. The DoubleTree by Hilton Phoenix/Mesa is a beautiful 262 room full service hotel with 25,000 SF of flexible meeting space.

The primary responsibilities for the Sales Manager include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for soliciting, prospecting, negotiating and booking new and repeat business through efforts, which could include; outside sales calls, referrals, networking, etc. to maximize room revenue.
  • Conduct weekly sales activities for prospecting for new business. Follow all established policies and procedures relating to administration of accounts and ultimate booking of business.
  • Develop and continually enhance relationships with key group and catering accounts to maintain and increase our market share.
  • Ensure all proposals and contracts are presented to the client accurately and effectively, while operating in accordance with strategic objectives to exceed market driven group revenue components.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of all property offerings, food and beverage minimums, room rentals, hotel rates, strategies, discounts/promotions, meeting space layouts and capacities, catering menus with pricing.

Requirements:

In addition to performance of key responsibilities and supportive functions, this position may be required to possess a combination of the following skills and experiences:

  • 3 Years of hotel sales experience
  • Knowledge of Delphi FDC and Outlook Office
  • Market and Brand Experience
  • Ability to analyze client needs, and negotiate pricing along with client requests. Strong organizational and analytical skills, along with demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with maximum efficiency, accuracy and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work cohesively with a team.
  • Ability to exercise sound logic and judgment in evaluating situations and utilizing appropriate resources.
  • Must be self-directed, motivated and demonstrate exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.

compensation: $50,000 - $55,000
