Oversee waterpark maintenance operations, training and leadership necessary to achieve stated objectives for ride maintenance, ride checks, repairs, costs, guest service satisfaction, safety, cleanliness, and sanitation.
License/Permits Required: Valid driver's license required.
PEFERRED SKILLS: Certified pool operator certification preferred. Knowledge of leisure activities/commercial recreation in a "for profit" setting is preferred.
Knowledge of Computer Hardware or Software
Possess excellent basic math skills.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE PERFERRED:
Have knowledge of air conditioning/heating systems, plumbing, building and all facility maintenance and management. Have knowledge of ride maintenance schedules, and repairs. Have knowledge of waterpark rides and daily operations for a Waterpark or leisure/vacation venue.
Possible heavy workloads; exerting up to 50 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or other wise move objects.

Must be able to work in warm/humid settings and hot/humid weather for indoor and outdoor waterpark environments.

Essential Duties & Functions
Understand completely all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs of Kalahari Resorts.
Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times.
Ensure that all waterpark rides are inspected daily, weekly, and monthly.
Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.
Prepare all required paperwork, including forms, reports and schedules in an organized and timely manner such as licenses, state forms, and maintenance logs.
Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the ride manufacturer's preventative maintenance programs.
Oversee and ensure that the Waterpark policies on associate performance appraisals are followed and completed in a timely basis.
Schedule labor as required by anticipated business activity while ensuring that all positions are staffed when and as needed and labor cost objectives are met.
Be knowledgeable of policies regarding personnel and administer prompt, fair and consistent corrective action for any and all violations of company policies, rules and procedures.
Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, and county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the associates and guests.
Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, and county and municipal regulations that pertain to rides safety, inspections, and yearly inspection with all authorities.
Provide advice and suggestions to the Waterpark Manager as needed.
Participate in the Daily Promise line-up meetings.
Serve as focal point for audits and inspections by outside agencies.
Ensure waterpark is maintained so that guests are not inconvenienced because of repairs.
Maintain an accurate inventory of supplies for the waterpark and make purchases when necessary with Waterpark Manager approvals.
Other duties as deemed appropriate by the Waterpark Manager.
