About This Job

This is not a remote position. 

The Web Content Specialist will own the creation and direction of all content marketing initiatives across multiple platforms and formats with the goal to increase website traffic and drive engagement, qualified lead generation, business retention, and other positive business-related outcomes.

The Web Content Specialist will help define our brand story, in addition to developing consistency for our brand’s storytelling.

Our content manager will lead the development of our content initiatives with a publisher/journalist mindset, in all forms, to drive new business and cultivate new opportunities with our current client base through their work.

Essential Functions

  • Work with project management tools to create and execute the content schedule in order to build seasonal and daily updates on time
  • Monitor the creation of assets, ensuring websites are consistently in sync.
  • Support Development team with day-to-day code fixes for the site
  • Learn, identify and execute best practices for web creative
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
  • Manage multiple projects at once and change priorities as needed
  • Build, edit and maintain alternative sites through SquareSpace for additional entity needs
  • Responsible for knowing where specific content lives so as to ensure thoroughness as changes are made
  • Set up new site pages/sections and campaign landing pages within CMS
  • Some design and light front-end code web to create a cohesive digital experience and engage users
  • Create, schedule and maintain an email marketing schedule
  • Create emails within Constant Contact and other email marketing tools
  • Perform A/B tests on both the website and email marketing to make suggestions for enhancements

Physical Demands
The Associate is required to constantly stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel and crouch.

The Associate is constantly required reach and grasp.

The Associate must frequently exert up to 40 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Ability to move frequently throughout the large facilities is required.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is an exempt level position, with various work hours and days, based on business needs. This position rarely requires evening, weekend and holiday work.

Preferred Education and Experience

·         Bachelor’s Degree in related field

·         2-3 years of digital or web maintenance experience

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong proofreading skills

  • Passionate about exceptional web experiences and content management, bringing new ideas to the table
  • A self-starter; able to act autonomously and anticipate/highlight project needs
  • Organized and able to create documentation that reinforces this
  • Able to manage multiple projects through cross-functional teams
  • A base knowledge of any common CMS (Umbraco experience a big plus)
  • Base knowledge of HTML & CSS
