About This Job

Summary of Position:

The Night Auditor (PT) is responsible for being an ambassador of the hotel by providing friendly, efficient, enthusiastic and hospitable service; for the guest check-in and check-out as well as any and all other requests for service, information and general engagement. Along with these overall expectations, the Night Auditor will be responsible for reporting, light accounting, and other items listed below.

Essential Functions:

• Greet guests immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome. Use a positive and clear speaking voice, listening attentively to understand requests

• Duties as assigned by Front Office Management such as:

    •Check guests in/out through property management system

    •Assist Guests in all inquiries related to check in/out.

    •Light accounting: including reporting and balancing accounts

    •Arrange registration cards and complete bucket check

    •Observe and maintain the security of the property

    •Any other tasks, projects and/or duties assigned by the Front Office Management Team and/or the Assistant General Manager/Area General Manager.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience: Customer service experience preferred

Certificates or Licenses: N/A

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Basic mathematical skills, ability to use a computer and calculator.

Ability to memorize and perform AAA four diamond standards.

  • Professional Appearance: Exhibits an appearance appropriate for a three diamond hotel (Specific grooming standards are available for review)

Working Conditions:

  • This is a part time position, with the potential for seasonal Full Time or Full Time opportunities. Actual hours may vary dependent on business needs. Attendance as scheduled is a critical element in all positions at the Inn at Laguna Beach. Availability for weekends and holidays is essential.
