About This Job


Horseshoe Bay Resort features over ten Food and Beverage outlets, including the newest Cap Rock Cabana! This new outlet offers gorgeous waterfall pool, bar, and grill service for members and guests at Cap Rock Golf Course facilities. The Cap Rock Cabana Manager is responsible for the efficient management and delivery of all food and beverage operations within assigned amenity, promoting customer focused culture, leading team by example, ensuring and enforcing current SOP's and Horseshoe Bay Resort policies, monitoring COG's, revenue, inventory, payroll, budgeting and scheduling, and responsible for management, motivation and on-going training of team members.


  • Hire, manage and coach and counsel staff.
  • Responsible for all cabana activities regarding revenue, staffing, issues/concerns, weather, and amount of covers must be submitted at the end of a shift to Cap Rock Clubhouse Manager and Director of Food & Beverage.
  • Attend all Food and Beverage meetings and relay all information to fellow management.

  • Communicate with club members/resort guests on needs and accumulate feedback.

  • Ensure the proper information on operation requirements, as well as execution, are properly delegated and distributed amongst the staff. Staff must be well informed on all areas of coverage and given the responsibility and power to accomplish company goals for a successful operation.

  • Responsible for inventory and ordering, keeping within budget.
  • Train staff on daily expectations and enforce policies.
  • Responsible for closing paperwork for cabana and beverage carts.
  • Code all invoices properly and deliver to the accounting office for payment.
  • Create, implement and execute long and short term goals in addition to action plans for sales, profits and staff development.


  • High school diploma or equivalent, required
  • Supervisory, leadership, management and coaching skills
  • Knowledge of different types of food and beverage production
  • Knowledge of different types of wine and spirits and their service
  • Must have two years of experience in the food and beverage industry and one year supervisory experience.
  • Previous banquets and events planning and execution experience.
  • Must be Food Handlers and TABC certified.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet the requirements of driver insurability as established by the insurance carrier.


  • Experience in customer service; resort experience preferred.
  • Strong management, organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Knowledge of various software programs, valued. Knowledge of Agilysys POS system preferred.
  • Problem solving and organizational abilities.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Ability to get along well with others, to demonstrate flexibility and patience, and to work as a member of a team.
