Position Summary

Under the leadership of the Director of Slot Operations, this position provides the department with analytical reports, data and information that will enable management to run slot operations more effectively and efficiently.  

Supervision Exercised

Reports to the Director of Slot Operations.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Assists in establishing and maintaining standard operating procedures and internal controls for Slots data reporting.
  2. Performs assigned slot department activities in accordance with policies and procedures prescribed in the Sandia Casino System of Internal Controls.
  3. Ensures adherence to federal cash reporting requirements.
  4. Prepares statistical reports as requested by management.
  5. Monitor and track daily revenues and costs and prepare a daily and month to date report.
  6. Compile data and identify aspects of games that can be leveraged to improve the success rate of game designs.
  7. Performs additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned.

  1. Strong analytical skills.
  2. Working knowledge of data management systems.
  3. Ability to read, analyze and interpret data.
  4. Ability to define problems and draw valid conclusions.
  5. Ability to build complex queries and produce results using various ad-hoc query and spreadsheet applications.
  6. Ability to provide management and staff with meaningful information that will help them manage the department more effectively.
  7. Ability to work independently.
  8. Must possess excellent project management skills.
  9. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  10. High level of skill using various work processing, spreadsheet, database and reporting software.
  11. Knowledge of Casino operations, Tribal, federal and state reporting requirements.
  12. Knowledge of all slot and gaming equipment.
  13. Knowledge of Oracle, SQL and Cognos preferred.
  14. Ability to work under extreme pressure and levels of stress.
  15. Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.


Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience


  1. High School Diploma, GED Certification or equivalent.
  2. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance Administration or related field and two (2) years’ analytics experience in casino gaming industry; or four (4) years’ experience in non-gaming analytics and reporting.  A combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling six (6) years may substitute for the required education and experience.
  3. Must be at least 21 years of age.
  4. Must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted New Mexico Driver’s License.

Licensing Status

  1. Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Gaming License.
  2. Will require a post-offer, pre-employment and random drug screening.

Working Conditions

  1. Work is performed indoors.
  2. Work hours subject to change with overtime work required.
  3. Must be able to work long hours under stressful conditions.
  4. Subject to hazards which may cause personal bodily harm; smoke, common colds, influenza, dust, odors, and elevated noise levels.
  5. Tasks may be performed on uneven, inclined, hard and soft carpeted floors, cement structures and surfaces.
  6. Duties may involve walking, standing for long periods of time, sitting and crouching.
  7. Specific required movements include the following:
    • Trunk – bend, twist, rotate, push, pull, and carry
    • Arms – reach, carry, push, pull, lift, twist, and rotate.
    • Legs – lift, push, pull, twist, and rotate.
    • Hands – grasp, manipulate, bilateral coordination, eye and hand coordination, overall finger dexterity.

Additional Information

Salary: $55,103.98-$74,390.36
