About This Job

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual production goals.
  • Know the principal competition for each market segment and takes advantage of hotel’s strengths against each competitor.
  • Accurately forecast occupancy changes based on changing market conditions (additions to supply and demand, etc.).
  • Manage revenue ensuring profitable contracting is strategically captured through revenue management and analysis
  • Overcome all objections to close on business through an effective selling process and a complete understanding of the customers’ needs and requests.
  • Actively sell room nights through prospecting/solicitation calls, outside sales calls, telemarketing, site tours, etc.
  • Actively sell to in-house guests (greeting tours, talking with guests at breakfast and evening reception to surface additional leads, etc.).
  • Know the competition well. In addition, is familiar with all “business” in the market, where that “business” stays and why.
  • Use the resources available by the Brand to surface, call on, and track potential business.

Required Qualifications

  • 2 years Hotel Sales Manager experience.
  • Strong managerial and supervisory skills.
  • Compute accurate mathematical calculations.
  • Excellent written skills sufficient to produce sales and marketing communication.
  • Excellent spoken and presentation skills
  • Fluency in English both verbally and non-verbally.

Ability to:

  • Desirable:
  • Certification of previous training in OneSource, Ci/TY, FSPMS, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Previous guest relations training.
  • Previous experience in hospitality industry working in Group Sales with Rooms & Banquet Sales experience
