The Aquatic Technician is responsible for maintaining the safest standards possible at the aquatic facility by enforcing all rules and regulations of The Lodge and the State of Vermont. Also, performs preventive maintenance and responds to all requests in order to satisfy guests’ needs and ensure an attractive and safe facility. In addition, provides sincere service through actions that display self-confidence, grace and courtesy to guests and colleagues.


  1. Reacts to guest needs, and department requests to maintain the aquatic facility.
  2. Enforces all rules and regulations to maintain the safest aquatic facility possible.
  3. Works with all other departments to make necessary repairs to ensure a safe and secure aquatic facility.
  4. Maintains all inspection and log sheets to ensure proper preventive maintenance of operation of physical structure of the aquatic facility.
  5. Visually inspects, diagnoses problems, takes measurements, and makes necessary repairs on equipment and facility as instructed by supervisor.
  6. Ensures guest satisfaction by maintaining a clean, safe facility while performing maintenance work.
  7. Properly cares for equipment and uses it properly to assist with cost control.
  8. Performs daily chemical level checks, chemical dosing and corrective measures.
  9. Performs daily cleaning of all water bodies.
  10.  Interacts with resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information.
  11.  Is knowledgeable of all emergency procedures and Resort policies.
  12.  Communicates all pertinent information to managers and supervisors.
  13. Upholds all safety standards
  14. Is able to communicate verbally and in writing in English.
  15. Is able to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 lbs.
  16. Is able to stand/walk up to 6-8 hours per day.
  17. Is a team player and interacts with all guests and fellow Associates in a positive and friendly manner.
  18. Other functions as may be assigned by Supervisor/Manager.



• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior hotel or hospitality experience preferred.
• CPO/AFO registration.

• Ability to use hand tools.
• Attention to detail.
• Customer service experience.
• Strong organizational and time management discipline.

• Operate effectively in stressful situations.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Ability to adapt to changing guest needs.

• Ability to work outdoors during all seasons.
