This hands-on position is responsible for leading and developing the overall business plan and operation of the Spa located at Tamarack Resort. Proven ability to serve as a leader for employees while fostering teamwork, morale, motivation and open communications. Must have exemplary oral and written communication skills. Must be able to interact well with internal and external guests and team members. Strong leadership skills and customer service orientation required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Facilitates smooth workflow by ensuring that employees/team members have what they need to operate at peak efficiency.
Provides an inspiring example of spa citizenship, responsibility, mutual respect and resourcefulness.
Participates in planning and budgeting with the Controller and General Manager.
Maintain knowledge and understanding of current thinking in treatments area, and see that treatment programs are continually up-dated. Implement new treatments to stay on top of the industry
Approve all marketing materials. Initiate marketing and promotional events. Implement sales incentives.
Monitor product purchases, inventories and ordering systems
Implement proper treatment product usage systems
Ensures that spa clients are delighted with services and products. Masterfully resolves customer complaints.
Oversees employee recruitment and selection. Oversees the review and appraisal of employee performance at regular intervals, maintains records on personnel issues, implements corrective plans when necessary, and participates in termination proceedings as needed.
Responsible for the configuration of SMS
Helps with the condition of the spa, its facilities and equipment. Authorizes repairs and replacement of equipment as needed. Organizes maintenance time.
Manages communication in the spa. Mediates problems, creates and presents training programs, effectively communicates and enforces company rules and regulations and maintains satisfactory performance standards among all levels of supervised employees.
Ensures all schedules are based according to the treatments/occupancy. Assist in controlling salaries and wages by and approving weekly. Maintain appropriate staffing levels according to budget by adding staff or removing staff
Available as needed to insure proper operations of the Spa.
Holds operations meetings with team leaders from each department.
Assists in continued development, updating and refinement of employees' manual and operations protocols.
Assists clients with reservations for services, answering phones, operating computer scheduling, greeting and directing all clients to appointments and processing transactions if needed
Attend weekly resort meetings
Performs all other related duties as assigned.
