Job Summary

The Senior Manager, Card Analytics – US Card Member & Value Prop Analysis, plays the key role in ongoing and ad hoc analytical support focused on existing cobranded credit card members, including full funnel analysis of card promotional offers, card value proposition analysis, data support for contracts and regulatory processes, and analytical support for new product design. He or she will work closely with both peers and partner teams to design and implement reporting and dashboarding tools, ongoing card forecasts, and high priority decision support.

This position is part of the broader Insights, Analysis and Strategy team, which is charged with developing and utilizing state-of-the-art analytic approaches to generate business intelligence about digital customer behavior. This position is part of a team of analytics experts who are responsible for providing data driven insights and recommendations in support of Marriott’s card strategies.

Candidate Profile

Education And Experience

AND

  • 3+ years of relevant professional experience, demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance;
  • Advanced degree in operations research, applied mathematics, statistics, economics, and engineering etc., preferred.
  • Strong data analysis skills and experience required, including querying and manipulation of billions of records of data, independently structuring analysis and synthesizing large volumes of complex information from multiple sources, synthesizing insights into stellar visualizations, and applying strong knowledge of data modeling and statistical analysis techniques.
  • Experience gathering data with SQL required.  Experience manipulating large data sets in Python, R, or SAS, and visualizing outputs in Tableau is a strong plus
  • Excellent project management and verbal and written communication skills required, especially in the context of managing processes and delivering technical analysis across diverse stakeholder set
  • Credit Card, Digital Analytics, or Finance experience a strong plus

Core Work Activities

Supporting Cobrand Card Analytic Priorities
  • Responsible for understanding Loyalty program health, member behavior and the impact card members have on the overall program
  • Conducts deep dive analytics to provide business insights to assist the card team in meeting their goals
  • Analyzes financial impacts of card spend performance, new member benefits and new product design in partnership with Finance
  • Provides analytical support in creation of the card story for senior management presentations and including quarterly business review presentations
  • Develops card reporting and visual self-service tools for the card team to have insights into the business, partnering with iT and data teams on implementation
  • Performs a consultative role in working with cross-functional teams on card analytics
  • Supports ad hoc needs of the card team
