How You'll Make A Difference:

Position Summary

The position supports all Brand Management and Marketing activities for Cedar Point and Michigan’s Adventure as needed.  This may range from assisting with consumer demand marketing analysis, planning and tactical execution, along with brand planning, project development, retail partnership management and overseeing/directing in-park and local marketing efforts of the Brand Activation Managers based at the parks. This position will report to the Corporate Director, Brand Management and will be located in Charlotte, NC (relocation assistance is available).

We're Looking For:

Responsibilities

  • Executes marketing tactics to support revenue and attendance, including general park admission, online advanced sales, consumer promotions, and tourism initiatives as is relevant.
  • Manages in-park brand activation execution via Park Operations and park-based Brand Activation Manager. This may require partnering with park operations teams, i.e., food & beverage, entertainment, guest services, etc., to ensure integration, collaboration and brand alignment.
  • Assists Corporate Director, Brand Management with marketing roadmaps and integrated communications plans associated with brand plans and consumer demand activities. Partners with shared services functions (Advertising, CRM, Season Pass Loyalty, Ecommerce and Marketing Ops, Marketing Analytics and Park Ops) to ensure optimal results of campaigns/events.
  • Responsible for identifying, briefing and overseeing production and fulfillment of in-park marketing collateral/signage and any special events communications needs utilizing peer review processes to ensure brand consistency across channels and optimal placement.
  • Works with advertising agencies and Brand Activation Manager to negotiate value-add media and promotional activities to support overall marketing and media plan.
  • Oversees consumer promotional/retail program sales strategy, including quick service restaurants, beverage partners, mass retailers, etc. and works with Brand Activation Manager to execute.
  • Works alongside Corporate Director, Brand Management, Business Intelligence, Communications/PR, Season Pass and Advertising peers to establish annual promotional calendar and message maps.
  • Responsible for communications and relationship building between brand marketing and park/resorts. Establish regular cadence of meetings to review plans, progress, and results throughout season. Keeps park communications staff and brand activation manager on point and accountable for plan deliverables; assists with influencing and nurturing relationships of in-park ops teams including Retail, F&B, Entertainment, Guest Services, etc.
  • Responsible for supervising all activities of Brand Activation Manager while coaching and evaluating performance throughout the year.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 6-8 years of Marketing & Brand Management, Consumer Demand Planning, Communications Planning, and Project Management experience within the hospitality, tourism or entertainment industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Solid leadership experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
