JOB OVERVIEW:  The Catering Sales Manager is accountable for selling corporate events and corporate holiday celebrations. The property includes 6,000 square feet of indoor private event space in addition to unique outdoor space and is a highly sought-after location for corporate events. This position will still have some service responsibilities

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

· Targets corporate catering events and corporate holiday celebrations with a heavy emphasis on proactive solicitation and account saturation.

· Document and organize detailed requirements of each function in Amadeus Advanced. Coordinate activities of various departments to service accounts, such as directing in the creation and delivery of VIP amenities.

· Plan and conduct pre and post-convention meetings with clients and respective departments.

· Identifies, qualifies, and solicits new corporate catering business to achieve personal and property revenue goals.

· Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings.

· Uses negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business and negotiate contracts.

· Develops effective catering sales plans and actions. • Maintains files with appropriate documentation, adherence to trace dates and maintaining files

· Maximizes revenue by upselling packages and creative food and beverage.

· Understands the overall competitors’ strengths and weaknesses and economic trends

· Activities include catering sales calls, client events, site inspections, and entertainment

· Represents HALL Arts Hotel and develops relationships within the community to strengthen and expand customer base for catering sales opportunities.

· Manages and develops relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

· Creates proposals, contracts, banquet event orders, and group resumes

· Leads site inspections, tastings, BEO Meetings, and pre-con meetings when applicable

· Develops and maintains strong relationships with outside suppliers, executive chef, banquet and audio-visual team

· Executes brand’s Customer Service Standards and property’s Brand Standards through the sales process.

· Assist client while on-site with a flexible work schedule to include evenings and weekends, holidays, and extended hours. • Complete guest surveys following all events to ensure complete guest satisfaction and referrals

· Participate in off-property tradeshows, catering organizations, and events as requested

· Stays on top of current catering trends; assist with the creation of new themes, special events, and service standards.

· Assist with preparing and presenting weekly and monthly Catering/Sales reports.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays. High school diploma or GED and 3+ year’s experience as a luxury, hotel catering manager preferred Strong written and oral communication skills. Strong Word, Excel, Power Point, office equipment and computer skills ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS Working knowledge of Delphi FDC, Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time. Ability to think creatively to develop, design, or create new applications, ideas, relationships, systems, or products, including artistic contributions. Strong analytical skills and ability to make decisions and solve problems by analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution.
