JOB SUMMARY:

Situated on the shores of Lake LBJ, just 45 minutes from Austin, Horseshoe Bay Resort is an AAA four-diamond lake and golf resort offering luxurious accommodations, family friendly amenities and world-class golf in the heart of the Texas Hill Country.

We're busy, and we're growing! The Marketing Coordinator will  support marketing operations by creating, compiling, formatting, and reporting relevant marketing information and materials. Our Marketing department and Horseshoe Bay Resort have been awarded for their excellence in Advertising, Marketing, and Public Relations efforts. Come join us!

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Prepares marketing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales data.
  • Keeps promotional materials ready by coordinating requirements with graphics department; inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
  • Researches competitive properties by identifying and evaluating characteristics, market share, pricing, and advertising; maintaining research databases.
  • Updates competitor database by inputting data from field sales; compiling, consolidating, formatting, and summarizing information, graphs, and presentations; distributing reports.
  • Monitors budgets by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
  • Assembles consumer rating reports by compiling, consolidating, formatting, and summarizing information, graphs, and presentations.
  • Supports sales presentations by assembling customer feedback, proposals, videos, slide shows, demonstration and product capability booklets; compiling account and competitor analyses.
  • Prepares mailers and brochures by formatting content and graphics; arranging printing and internet packages.
  • Maintains marketing library by checking and replenishing inventory.
  • Assists with web, publication, and graphics departments and development.
  • Works and coordinates trade show events, on-site events
  • Monitors and updates social media platforms
  • Acts a liaison with third-party advertising and public relation agencies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field; or equivalent experience
  • 1-2 years experience and training in similar position in the hotel/resort/guest service industry, marketing or related field, preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong knowledge of current social media platforms
  • Excellent language, spelling, writing, editing and proofreading skills and telephone etiquette.
  • Photography and video production background a plus
  • Event planning background preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workflow.
  • Ability to write and edit copy that adheres to brand standards in style and tone for collateral, advertorial and online media.
  • Discretion and confidentiality is extremely important.
